What it is
Applications go out faster than anybody can remember them. This kit is the paperwork around the search: a log of what went where and when, what came back, and what is still owed an answer.
The document checklist is the companion to the log. Each application wants a slightly different set - which CV version, which letter, which portfolio, which links - and the checklist keeps that straight so the right file goes with the right application.
The follow-up templates are short editable letters for the messages a search needs and nobody enjoys writing: chasing an answer, asking about the next stage, and replying to a decision either way.
What is in the download
This list is what the finished files have to hold. It is the description the kit is sold on, and under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a file that does not match it is not as described.

What it opens in
- Microsoft Word for Windows or macOS opens and edits the DOCX files as laid out
- Google Docs, LibreOffice Writer and Pages will open them, and spacing and fonts may move on the way in

No software licence is included with a kit and none is sold here: whatever you open the files in is yours to have already, and its cost is nothing to do with this shop.
How you edit it
- Keep one row per application in the log and fill the date columns as you go; it is the part that stops being useful if it is filled in later.
- Copy the checklist for each application rather than reusing one copy.
- Edit the follow-up letters before sending: they are drafts with the tone set, not finished messages.

What it does not do
- It is a set of documents you keep yourself. Nothing tracks, reminds or sends on your behalf.
- It is not an application: no vacancy is found, applied for or followed up for you.
